Day 76, August 4th, Extended break at Glacier National Park.  We moved slowly again this morning.  We had to check out of the Glacier Park Hotel and move to Whitefish, MT, so it took some time.  We drove around the south end of the park over Marias Pass and saw a number of trains.  Our hikes for the day were Trail of the Cedars, a wonderful old forest area, and a hike to Hidden Lake.  Both hikes were great and the view at Hidden Lake was super.  The lake is surrounded by steep, rock cliffs rising to 5-6000 feet.  After the hikes we had a restful break at the Lake McDonald Lodge and then headed for Whitefish.  We window shopped and surprise, surprise Cindy found some things to buy.  We ate at the Latitude 48 degrees restaurant, which was excellent and are staying at the North Forty Cabin Motel.  Tomorrow, Cindy, Dave, and Diane, depart for home and I resume my trek toward Seattle.
